Contracts
Childminders draw up a contract to be signed by both parents and childminder because:
It is a reference to the agreed charges/hours between the parent and childminder
It is a binding contract not just for the parent but also the childminder
It contains the childminders details on who they are insured with and when it expires
What meals/drinks are offered?
That they will never use physical punishment
That the parent will arrive and collect children on time
Provide a change of clothing and outdoor clothing suitable for the weather
Toiletries/baby formula/baby foods
Inform the childminder of any illness the child has shown within 24 hours of contracted period (and respect the childminders decision whether or not to accept the sick child for care)
Notify the childminder at the beginning of each contracted period of any accident or injury the child may have suffered since last in the care of the childminder
When the contract is reviewed and any increase in charges
Gives permission for routine outings with the childminder
